The exhibition "Golden Worlds: The Portable Universe of Indigenous Colombia" at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, from November 2022 through April 2023 served as a primary source of inspiration for my project, Collective Thoughts. Through my work, I aimed to pay tribute to Colombian indigenous civilizations that valued the balance between the universe and Mother Earth. To achieve this, I created a wire-weaved basket inspired by the objects used by these communities to make offers to the gods. The basket served as a structure for a collaborative project where community members could weave their thoughts into its surface. Through this collective effort, we intended to honor the indigenous cultures and channel our positive thoughts into a physical manifestation.
